Additional accident insurance

The coverages listed below can be insured in addition to the standard coverage. The insured amounts of the additional coverages purchased will be co-insured on top of the standard coverage. The additional covers can only be taken out by KNMV licensees (including Basic sport licensees provided they have Dutch nationality and/or are Dutch residents), who appear as such in the KNMV administration.

All coverages listed below apply only if they result from an accident while engaged in the motorsports activities authorized by your license. Important notice: Isle of Man TT is excluded from coverage.

Additional coverage 1

Insured

All Basic sport licensees (provided they have Dutch nationality and/or are Dutch residents), National licensees, Euro, International, European Championship and World Cup licensees, who have registered for this optional coverage and appear as such in the KNMV’s administration provided for this purpose.

Coverage in effect during

  • Participation in competitions and associated training in the Netherlands (occasionally in Belgium, Germany and France) that fall under the supervision of the KNMV, or a federation/association/organizer cooperating with the KNMV.
  • Participation in races and associated training sessions that fall under FIM Europe or FIM supervision, not counting for European or World Championships that fall under FIM Europe or FIM supervision and are listed as such on the FIM Europe or FIM calendar.

The following insured amounts apply to all licensees. The insurance cost for this additional coverage is €70 per (part of a) year.

Additional coverage 2

Insured

All Basic sport licensees (provided they have Dutch nationality and/or are Dutch residents), National licensees, Euro, International, European Championship and World Cup licensees, who have registered for this optional coverage and appear as such in the KNMV’s administration provided for this purpose.

Coverage in effect during

The following insured amount applies to all licensees when this additional insurance is purchased. The cost of increasing the sum insured to the amount named above is €35.00 per (part of a) year.

Additional coverage 3

Insured

All Basic sport licensees, National licensees, Euro-, International-, EK- and World Cup licensees, who have applied for this optional coverage and appear as such in the appropriate administration of the KNMV, member of the KNMV, provided the Dutch nationality and/or Dutch resident. For road racing licensees, this coverage is only available with a license from a National License.

Coverage in effect during

  • During free practice sessions within Geographic Europe, only on designated tracks. The insurance cost for this additional coverage is €48 per (part of a) year.
